During worship, someone received a vision of a flight of stairs leading upward. He was reminded of Gen28:10-15 where Jacob dreamed of a flight of stairs leading to heaven in Bethel and God had promised him the land he was standing on and His protection, as well as not to leave him until the promises were fulfilled. He felt that God is reminding us that He will be faithful to His promises and He will watch over us always.
Another member shared her scripture reading in 2Cor 12:7-10. Verse 9 is'But he said to me,"My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness"'. As she has been sick for the past 2 weeks and during her recovery, she really found strength in God while at work or going through her other duties. She testified that God is indeed faithful, that while she was 'weak' and humbly sought Him, God strengthened her.
During worship, the word 'pure' came to someone's mind and she was reminded of 1Pet1:3-9, which mentioned that we are often purified through the trials so that after the purification, we may receive the goal of faith, which is the salvation of souls. God has promised that during momentary trials, He will watch over us and see us through these trials. Through the process, we are refined and purified by the refining fire.
Another felt the sensation of dark and gloomy clouds clearing up as light came out of the darkness, and everything seemed to brighten up. He saw beautiful and green scenery thereafter. He was reminded of Lam 3:22-24"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, His compassion never fails, they are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness." He also attested to God's goodness after his recent sickness.
He was reminded of 1Cor7:29-31 during the worship time, we are not to be distracted by the things of the world and more importantly, not to be distracted from doing God's work. 2Cor9:8 also came to mind, 'God is able to make all grace abound to you, in all things and at all times, having all we need, we will abound in every good work.'
